Cubic QuickTime VR !
Apple Computer has a type of QuickTime VR called "Cubic VR". The main advantage of cubic VR is that it allows the viewer to look straight up and straight down. The cubic movies are also smaller in file size than the previous high angle of view cylinder movies. (Click Here for FAQ info about Cubic VR:)

Panoscan's camera systems are the perfect solution for capturing high quality cubic movies. The Panoscan cameras can shoot fully spherical images called an "equirectangular image." The resulting image requires no stitching and can be easily converted to cubic format for easy retouching and viewing with the new QuickTime VR cubic player. (Click Here to see the process... ) Many of the movies below are quite large. Cubic movies, like all QTVR, may be scaled to any size from 25K to several Meg. depending on the desired quality. In order to show the maximum capability we have built most of these images at higher resolutions. Download the QuickTime and view these exciting examples below.
