Los Angeles, CA (October 2, 2002) – Audiences worldwide can now tour the historic 9/11 Memorial located at the Pentagon by logging onto the web site (  The Panoscan MK-2 panoramic camera, a ultra-high-resolution digital panoramic camera (shown at the Force Protection Equipment Demonstration IV event) was used to digitally capture the Memorial and the Chapel with the newly installed stained glass windows, dedicated on 9/11/03, by Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld.

The memorial lists the names of the 184 lives lost at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001 and on American Airlines Flight 77. Both military personnel and civilians are honored at the site. Included in the memorial is a dedication to the Defense of Freedom Medal, which is awarded to civilian employees of the Department of Defense who have either lost their lives, or have been injured in the defense of their country. Another section of the memorial honors the Purple Heart Medal, for those military personnel who sacrificed their lives or were wounded through enemy hostilities.

A tour of the Pentagon Chapel is available by clicking the doors leading to the chapel from the memorial site. Above the chapel alter is stained glass hand crafted by the family members and loved ones of those who were lost.
